Develop a 2- to 3-page executive summary, written to your organization’s leadership team, addressing a selected national healthcare issue/stressor and how it is impacting your work setting. Be sure to include the following:
- Describe the national healthcare issue/stressor you selected and its impact on your organization. Use organizational data to quantify the impact (if necessary, seek assistance from leadership or appropriate stakeholders in your organization). Example: Nursing shortage
- Summarize the articles you researched on the national healthcare issue/stressor you selected. Narrow it down to one cause you see at your organization…mandatory overtime or hostile environment (workplace violence or bullying), or any you think. But the point is to focus on one thing your organization should address.
- Explain how the healthcare issue/stressor you selected is being addressed in other organizations. Go to the literature and find some studies on what other organizations are doing to address the issue. When you make a recommendation you always want to back it up with literature.
- Summarize the strategies used to address the organizational impact of national healthcare issues/stressors presented in the scholarly resources you selected, and explain how they may impact your organization both positively and negatively. Be specific and provide examples. Summarize and synthesize multiple sources in this discussion and as it requires, give a couple of examples of the pros and cons.
Don’t forget, no cover page is required, but APA formatting of the paper is a requirement. Include a purpose statement toward or at the end of the introduction and use headings to guide the reader. Finally, a conclusion that summarizes the work.
