For Week 1 there is one assignment: A Comparison Assignment, comparing Bacteria, Archaea, and Protists.
For this assignment, you will demonstrate the knowledge that you gained from Chapter 17. In the Comparison Assignment, address the following questions below in an using your textbook as your primary reference source. You are required to cite at least one reference (i.e. the course textbook) using APA format. When addressing the questions, please make sure responses are numbered and answers are written in complete sentences. A simple “yes” or “no” answer is not acceptable. Please answer the question “WHY” by writing an explanation for your answers. An appropriate response for each question should be a minimum of 2-3 sentences.

12.List three protozoans and describe their means of locomotion.
The Comparison Assignment is worth a maximum total of 100 points. It must be written well, using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation as well as meet the minimum word length and reference information must be properly cited with in-text citations within the body of the assignment AND full reference citations (in APA format) at the end of the assignment. Not citing references is an automatic loss of 10 points from the assignment grade. Each question in the Comparison Assignment must be fully addressed with responses a minimum of 2-3 sentences in length and information from outside resources [including the course textbook] cited properly per APA. The Comparison Assignment is worth a maximum of 100 points with each question worth a maximum of 7.5 points [12 questions @ 7.5 points = 90 points] and proper citation of references worth a maximum of 10 points, for a total of 100 points. The Comparison Assignment is required to be submitted as a Word document (.doc or .docx) and uploaded to the Submission area for the assignment by 11:59 p.m. ET Sunday.
